Introducing the Hazeldean team


Jim Litchfield, Managing Director


Bea Litchfield returned home in 2015 to Hazeldean after 4 years studying B. Ag. Sci at UNE and Sydney University, and then worked for a corporate Agricultural company. She has spent time in Canada and worked on RA Brown Cattle Ranch in Texas. She has taken up the role of Stud Sheep Overseer.


Libby Litchfield  is responsible for cattle registrations, data submission,  marketing and feeding the troops.


Jennifer Watkins, Office Manager. Jenni joined Hazeldean in January 2016 to take care of the administration side of the business. She studied accounting through Charles Sturt Uni and has worked for both government and private business whilst always maintaining her connection with the agriculture industry. Jenni continues a long time association between Hazeldean and the Miners family, being one of the daughters of Les and Norma Miners and growing up at Eagle Vale, Hazeldean. She is as handy in the yards as she is in the office!





Ben Rolfe joined the Hazeldean team in 2012. He is a mechanic by trade, and after many years working in the car industry he decided to pursue his interest in livestock. Having worked at Hazeldean for a number of years Ben now has the position of Stud Cattle Manager. Ben loves his sports and lives at Hazeldean with his girlfriend Christie.

  Nick Forbes came up to Myalla from Victoria in 2015 and has taken over the management more recently. He is married to Jacqui and they have a daughter, Sophie and baby Harry.

  Tom Moxon joined the Hazeldean team in early 2017 and is involved in the cropping and pasture programme. Originally from Cooma, he lives at Coroo with his partner and son, Renae and Scott.


Jono Healey is originally from Brisbane and worked as a builder for several years. He is passionate about the country and so has followed his dream to work with livestock. 



Ed Bradley has a background in horses, working for International Race Transport then at Riverlea Meats, before joining Hazeldean in early 2017.



Guy and Sarah Cunningham run the Hazeldean Angus South Australian enterprise on their property, Gumbowie, at Willalooka in south east  South Australia. Formerly both Hazeldean Merino and Angus clients, and in addition to their cropping and seed enterprise, they grow out the weaner bulls for the annual Hazeldean SA Bull Sale. and host it at Gumbowie in February each year.



John Roche grew up in Adelong, NSW. After school John did a year jackarooing in Longreach with AACO, he then completed an Advanced Diploma of Farm Management at Orange (Sydney University.)  John then returned home to the family farm business which consisted of a commercial sheep, cattle and horticultural enterprise. He then ran his own farm and successful contracting business. John joined Hazeldean as Manager of Springdale at Adelong when it was purchased in 2013. He is married to Sarah and has three children Polly, Sidney and Billy.



Richard Cannon joined Hazeldean as Manager of Hazeldean Riverina at Rosevale Hay in early 2006. Richard has a Diploma in Agribusiness from Marcus Oldham College and is married to Sarah with four children. When the property was sold in 2015 Richard purchased some land with the sale complex and house and continues to be involved with Hazeldean

 Nick Sher is the Managing Director of Beefcorp Australia Pty Ltd a family owned paddock to plate Wagyu beef company running 9,000 head of cattle in Victoria. The company is vertically integrated from seed stock to processing, exporting to 15 countries as well and marketing Sher Wagyu beef in Australia.

After graduating with an Ag Science degree from Melbourne Uni in the early 1980’s  Nick worked in agribusiness for 10 years before consulting and establishing his cattle business 23 years ago. He has been involved in various industry and community boards and has been a director of Hazeldean since 2000.

Married to Vicki with 3 boys he’s passionate about Aussie Rules football, loves the outdoors and enjoys working with progressive people.


Mick Boyce was the founding partner of Boyce Chartered Accountants in 1973 which is the biggest regional firm in Australia. The firm specialises in management accounting in agriculture making a significant contribution to benchmarking in sheep, beef, grains and cotton industries.

Since retiring from the firm he has continued directorships and share holdings in a  number of businesses including Namoi Cotton, Monbeef, Mitre 10 stores, and online women's fashion store Birdsnest which was founded by his daughter Jane Cay. He infects people with his enthusiasm.

Married to Robyn with two married daughters  Mick is a keen gardener, golfer and amateur architect. 


Zeke Ezra - With over 40 years in the accounting profession, Zeke’s experience spans both Commerce and Public practice.The latter 30 years have been spent dealing with small to medium sized businesses providing business and taxation advice and working closely with them often as part of their management team. His clients are mainly Family owned businesses 

Zeke has served in various roles with ACT Government and Commonwealth Government organisations.
